Yearly projected subjects of social services committee

      1.      10th of November Memorial of Ataturk Ceremony:

We are planning to prepare a ceremony for the memorial of this important date as we did successfuly in the previous years. For this event the meeting place is organized, and the attempts for the other activities are started. We will organize a composition contest to remember this important date more actively.In this contest which the students of high schools in the neighbourhood of halic can take place,the students who get the highest three scores will be awarded.

 2.      Scholarship Policy :

Our meaningful scholarship project,which we conduct with the help of Ç.Y.D.D,we have provided 24.000 – 30.000 USD of scholarship and donation for 250 – 300 students.Our scholarships will be provided this year too.

 3.      Teachers’ Day Ceremony:

We will celebrate  24th of November Teachers’ Day in a dinner party with      the teachers, who are invited by our members or their children, as we did in the previous years.  

      4.      Alibeykoy Mother and Child Health Center

This center was projected and started to be built in 1986 In the leadership of Rtn.M.Berk and finalized in 1988, In Rtn. E.Aker’s leadership.The building, built on 200 m2 , has been built with our members donation and with the help of sponsors they found.Electrical devices of the health center have been provided with the money collected in the dinner party with the couples.Which was organized by 1989-90 term president Rtn.Y.N.Yalçın worth of 45.000 USD. We want to protect this center and provide its maintenance.In order to achieve this, we are planning to have two of our weekly meetings in the health center and produce projects to serve for the needs of the center.Still tooth,glucose and eye search and cataract operation of a poor person are projected by our club.

 Six years ago, in the U.S, United States citizens of Turkish Origin established a civilian organization called “ Turkish – Forum Grassroots – Kökten Değişim “and by the help of world wide web they have reached 185.000 members,most of which are of Turkish origin living everywhere in the world.

 The aim of this organization is to answer any kind of speculations, campaigns about Turks and Turkye immediately and help to lighten people to know the truth.

 First visit of the organization was held last month and they had meetings in Istanbul and Ankara with the high level people of the government Halic has had the chance o organize media and Turkish forum’s meeting with our General Secretary Sedat A.Hunay’s precious efforts in Ataköy Marina.The meeting which high level people from both public and private sector attended, was a very fruitful beginning for further projects.

 We had to prepare the meeting ina very short time and even we invited our vce governor Osman Abacı in the last minutes but he attended the meeting with his deep understanding kindness not refusing our invitation as he mentioned in his kind thank-you letter “It is possible to develop many projects from Turkish – Forum’s global aims not for only Halic but also 8 Group Clubs and even for Area Clubs”

 Our projects will continue in GDB Melih Berk’s coordination,Who is in the Management and Conultancy Committee of Turkish Forum.
